Dear Kate and other readers ā¤ļø i'm so sorry you have had to go through that although the moral of the story was strong (I.e., appreciate non root canal life). However for the future and for any readers faced with this, painkillers (e.g., panadol) *before* you go in always help (apparently they also help with the uptake of the anaesthetic). Also never be afraid to ask for more anaesthetic .. I was told this 30 years ago and there is inherent comfort knowing you can ask for, and receive more, if you need something. It might be another injection but it works. You then don't feel anything. Hope you are recovering well.ā¤ļø
Thank you so much! I actually did ask for and get a bunch more anaesthetic and youāre right it does help to know you can!!!! I actually donāt think the procedure deserves its heinous reputation - it was not so bad as I was lead to believe. Kidney stones on the other hand? Every bit as bad as they say
lol
I will remember to appreciate this time not passing kidney stones too now that I think of it
Thank you so much for your lovely helpful thoughtful message xxx
Oh you poor thing ā¤ļø kidney stones too šµāš« (re teeth .. my specialty š .. I was going to add .. be careful of almonds now ... unfortunately I can only nibble on cashews šŖ but at least they are more gentle on the teeth š„°) #toothstories here's to no more root canals OR kidney stones ā¤ļø
